Aloha, I’m Kyle! 

I'm a project and product manager working where fashion, beauty and tech meet. I specialize in the people and processes behind creative work.

I was born and raised in Hawai'i, where I was taught to approach the world with aloha (love) and laulima (teamwork). I moved to New York City to study fashion merchandising, and later spent three years managing custom commercial interiors projects at Talk Carpet for clients like Apple, L'Oréal and W Hotels.

Working as a project manager showed me how much I enjoy the behind-the-scenes side of creative work. I like understanding why things work, and finding ways to make them work better for everyone involved. That led me to a Bachelor's in User Experience Design and an MSc in User Experience Engineering. My dissertation researched how fashion and lifestyle marketing teams use generative AI. I also co-authored chapters in two Springer books on human factors of the user experience and the UX of AI.

Living and working in different cities across the US and Europe has taught me to adapt quickly, work with all kinds of people and see a problem from more than one side. Outside of work, I love fashion, art, design and travel.
